Cautionkites Trespass Kiteboard 2007

Introducing the 2007 Trespass.

This line of boards has been two years in the making, with the Caution Team tirelessly testing board after board from different shapers. Santa Cruz is a great location for R&D, not because of the multitude of days with good wind and waves, but because of the impressive ratio of surfboard shapers to surfers, and now kiters. The Trespass is built with the best materials available and comes stock with three fins, Caution traction pads and the most comfortable directional foot straps on the market. The boards come with high grade threaded inserts, strategically placed to provide three choices for strap placement to accomodate varying preferences for different stances. After two years and multiple shapes and brands of boards, the Trespass models are the hands down best shape and we know this because these boards have been coveted by our team riders for a year now. Ride what our team rider’s love, and take your riding to a whole new level:

This board was our team rider’s first love and hung tough through the elimination of six other shapes. This high performance animal is perfect for snapping off the lips, floating closeouts, and all around ripping the surf. The 5’5” gives a really solid “meat and potatoes” kind of bottom turn, the kind you can rely on in overhead plus surf, yet when you get to the top it delivers a snappy top turn, good for finding the lip and sending you back into the wave. The board’s templates and tight rails make this board our team rider’s no-brainer-choice when their out in 6M or 9M Answer conditions.

This higher volume and toned down rocker 6’ 0” board was built for lighter wind conditions and the heavier riders out there. This board loves to be ridden strapless, allowing riders to find optimal foot placement for upwind riding and surfing. The 6’ 0” is a great transition for riders that are trying to make the switch from twin tip bidirectional boards to directional surfboards. The 6’0”s 18.50” width makes it the ideal board for learning to switch your feet, as the board provides stability underneath when a new rider’s feet stumble to find their correct placement. This is an ideal board for when the wind is in the 12M and bigger range, when the waves are glassy and riders need a little more board volume to use the energy of the wave and compensate for declining kite power.

FIN CHOICE
Over the course of testing, it became apparent that fin choice was a crucial yet very personal decision among team riders. These boards come with a set of Future fins, which give the boards the best balance between solid tracking and the ability to break loose when the rider wants. Riders who are serious about board performance should experiment with fin size because we believe that rider size and diverse riding styles require different fins for the highest performance. Coming soon, the Caution Store will carry multiple fin sets and recommendations by our riders.
